The Expo 2010 Shanghai-China promises to dazzle the world, and Timor-Leste is represented to show a little bit of what this young country is and learn with the large amount of information in this World Exposition.

Under the theme “Better city, better life”, the Expo 2010 Shanghai-China intends to be a vision for future city life and represent the will of humanity to a better quality of life in urban areas.

There are 194 nations and 104 organizations signed in for representation. They are almost 300 entities represented in the World Exposition, which expects to receive around 70 million visitors during the 6 months that it will be open to the public.

Besides these external representatives, where Timor-Leste is included, the Expo 2010 Shanghai-China has set up five thematic pavilions: the Urban Pavilion, the Well-being Pavilion, the Urban Planet Pavilion, the Ecological footprint Pavilion and the Pavilion of the Future.

The showcases within these pavilions are all related with urban planning and development and are, by themselves, a unique opportunity for visitors in general, but especially for professionals, who may view new projects, studies and ideas for the future.

In Shanghai, from May 1st onwards, and until de end of October, lies an opportunity to accede to a vast amount of scientific, economic, industrial and infrastructural knowledge, among many others.
