The Spanish carmaker present first SUV, which will be based on the Volkswagen Tiguan so expect the same powertrain options including 1.4 and 2.0 TSI gasoline and 2.0 TDI turbo diesel engines.
Seat Tribu SUV – compact SUV mainly follows the same styling as the Tribu 3door Concept that was naked at last year’s Frankfurt Show and though it will be initially launched as a five-door, we wouldn’t completely rule out a three-door variety in the near outlook.
The Tribu will sport a much bolder front end and a radically different rear hatch. The new SUV is, after all, the first Seat model penned by former Lamborghini designer Luc Donckerwolke. It is also slightly smaller, and is expected to be available in both three and five-door bodystyles.

When it goes on retailing in Europe during the first half of 2010, the production account of the Tribu will compete against the likes of the Honda CR-V, Renault Koleos, Opel Antara and Toyota RAV-4.
