How to Make Alfredo

Alfredo sauce is a classic staple that is well loved among kids and adults everywhere! I’ve perfected my alfredo sauce and it is simply amazing. This tortellini alfredo recipe is easy to make and is rich, creamy and delicious. Making your own alfredo sauce is super easy and it elevates the dish to restaurant quality! The creamy, garlicky sauce is heavenly smothered ontop of the cheese filled tortellini. This recipe can be thrown together in about 15-20 minutes which is perfect for a quick dinner on a busy night weeknight!

To prepare this delicious meal, start by melting 1 stick of butter in a medium skillet over medium heat and then add in 2 tablespoons of minced garlic and cook while stirring until the garlic is fragrant. Next, add 1 ½ cups of heavy cream, stirring constantly. While continuing to stir, add ½ teaspoon each of salt and pepper, 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning, and 1 cup of parmesan cheese and stir until the sauce thickens. Once the sauce thickens up to your desired consistency, reduce the heat to low and pour in 19 oz of frozen tortellini. Spread the pasta out and coat with the sauce then cover with a lid and cook for about 5 minutes. Once the pasta is cooked through, top it with the remaining ¼ cup of parmesan cheese and 1 tablespoon of parsley to garnish.

You will love this easy tortellini alfredo recipe to add to your weekly meal rotation! There is no need to spend a lot of money on this dish at an expensive restaurant when you can make an even better version at home for your whole family! This may just become your new go-to when you can’t think of what to make for dinner when it’s already too late in the evening to thaw out any meat.
