Swatches, Review: Yes To Carrots – “Leave-in Conditioner,” (170g)

My hair has always been flat and fine, so to gain volume I blow dry my hair upside down on medium heat after every shower, but years of repetition has lead to the middle section towards the tips looking a bit dry with quite a number of frizzy looking flyaways.

So when I saw this product with its relatively decent price tag and 96% natural rating, I thought to give it a try!

The change:

After washing my hair and whilst it is still damp, I apply a dollop on my hand and massage it in from the mid-section adding more emphasis towards the tips, then letting it soak in while completing the rest of my morning routine before I blow dry my hair in the same manner and brush through. The conditioner’s texture is smooth with a fairly thick viscosity so you have to be sure to carefully massage it in evenly throughout your hair.

Overall review:

First things first, this product does not smell of carrots! So if you are afraid of smelling like bunny chow for the rest of the day, don’t be!

The result is great, there are no more flyways! My hair looks wonderfully conditioned and fuller with a very healthy sheen. The down side for me though is that it does weigh down my hair slightly if I do not fully blow-dry, and whenever you touch your hair it does leaves this unpleasant build up feeling, this sensation does wash away though.

Overall, while this is a good product and does as it says, leaving your hair healthy and conditioned, I will be sticking to my much smoother and lighter daily hair oils, using this only for when I need something a little more heavy duty, so if heavy duty is what you need, then I would recommended a definite try out for this product!

They sell this brand at Walmart, but I’ve never seen anything about them written. I think it is quite a bit cheaper here in the US though. I can’t imagine Walmart pricing it for more then $7 or so.

It’s still not that big of a brand in the UK yet, so I buy my ‘yes-to’ range on the internet. Can’t wait till it becomes as freely available as it seems to be in the US!

  2. Nice work, glad to have found this blog on blogs list. This is the kind
of resources that should be shared online. You should really think about writing more stuff like this on
web 2.0 list. It’s a shame that search engines aren’t giving wordpress.
com a higher position. If you’re interested, please come and read my web site. Kudos
