In a recent sit-down interview with TODAY, Academy Award-winning actress Anne Hathaway opened up about how her outlook on life has changed over the years. The Devil Wears Prada star revealed that these days, she doesn’t really consider the concept of age.

“I don’t think about age,” Hathaway stated matter-of-factly. “To me, aging is another word for living."

It’s clear that the star practices what she preaches in terms of not limiting herself or putting herself inside a box when it comes to age. The 40-year-old disclosed to Vogue last month that she’s particularly influenced by a younger generation when it comes to the fashion department.

“I know this sounds like I’m super-pandering, but I’m really switched on by Gen Z,” she told the outlet of her style influence of late. “It’s a fun generation when it comes to fashion. They really hit it just right where they have a great time with it, but they define themselves by themselves.”

Whether she’s donning a designer mini dress or hitting the red carpet in a trendy sheer ensemble featuring chic, over-the-elbow opera gloves, Hathaway always hits the mark. And in late August, Hathaway was announced as the latest brand ambassador for Shiseido’s Vital Perfection collection, a campaign that closely aligns with her views on beauty at any age.

“Shiseido and I are aligned in our belief that your skin is one of the most important investments you can make in your life and that we should never stop exploring our own potential—at any age,” she wrote on Instagram on Sept. 6.
