Michelle Yeoh welcomes grandchild with an Instagram post that had netizens guessing
The veteran actress had posted an image of a baby's foot on her official Instagram page, before later sharing another post as a 'proud grandparent'.
Is it her child? That seemed to be the question netizens had when Asian cinema superstar Michelle Yeoh shared a photo of a baby’s foot earlier on Tuesday (2 Jan) on Instagram.
The 61-year-old wrote, “A little miracle on the first day of 2024. We are so truly blessed… can’t tell you how happy I am for this very very special bundle of joy.”
No other details were given at that time.
As congratulatory messages flooded the comments, some netizens were wondering if Yeoh had had a baby and how. After all, she had previously said she couldn’t have kids.
Well, in a separate post almost three hours later, Oscar winner Yeoh cleared the air as she thanked her step son Nicolas and daughter-in-law Darina for “making us the happiest and proudest grandparents”.
Yeoh has been in a relationship with Jean Todt, ex-Ferrari CEO since 2004. They were engaged for 19 years before tying the knot in July 2023.
