CHICAGO — As the Chicago Auto Show kicks off this weekend, six eco-friendly classic cars formerly owned by actor Robert Downey Jr. will be featured.

All six cars will be given away in a national sweepstakes going to the FootPrint Coalition, a nonprofit organization founded by Downey Jr. that focuses on technologies advancing human systems towards a cleaner environment.

The cars were modified inside and out to be eco-friendly. The models include a 1969 Mercedes Benz 280 SE, a 1972 VW Bus, 1966 Buick Riviera, 1972 K-10 Pickup, 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible, and 1985 Chevrolet El Camino.

The Chicago Auto Show will run from Feb. 10 to 19 at the McCormick Place Convention Center.
