Alexandre de Magalhães Pereira Pinto was born in the city of Lamego in 1953 and has lived in the Mafra region since 1977. Self-taught, he began painting in 1995. In 2004 he dedicated himself exclusively to painting, choosing the spatula as his main utensil, in an innovative way. , apply the oil technique on the canvas.
Almost always figurative, he privileges the people and landscapes of Portugal in his art. The works have a lasting impression and convey a determined character, with excellent chromatic harmony, a very good register of emotions and a very unique luminosity. He has participated in numerous individual and group exhibitions, with his works in national and foreign private collections.
