  This wine is very big and approachable. It is more in your face than a wine of finesse. It is good with bold dishes that hold their own with this wine. It is also delicious on its own. The wine coats the glass with very pronounced legs. The fruit does not dominate the nose. There is a little medicinal funk/ gentle antiseptic funk present as well. The taste is dark rich berry and cherry with some chocolate and dessert spice. The tannins leave a dry feel at the end. Is suitable to drink immediate, but a couple years will not hurt this wine.
