Gullfoss (Icelandic for "golden waterfall") is one of the most iconic places in Iceland, and there are plenty of tour companies happy to ferry you out from Reykjavik for the afternoon. For a richer experience, camp overnight or stay at one of the rustic hotels nearby, then head to the waterfall first thing in the morning to truly catch that golden glow.
