Estella, 32, checked herself into a treatment centre and is wearing an alcohol-detecting SCRAM bracelet, her attorney revealed.

On May 23rd, the Canadian native who is best known for her roles in That ’70s Show and Law & Order allegedly hit three parked cars with her Toyota Prius, then drove away.

When police arrived, she reportedly kicked an officer while being arrested and even tried to escape from the police station, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

She decided to seek help shortly after the incident, according to her attorney, Darren Kavinoky.

'She's committed to making the situation right and moving on in a way that's appropriate,' Kavinoky told People.com.

She entered the treatment centre shortly after making bail and has been wearing the bracelet for 10 days.

'This scenario can be the catalyst for significant change,' Kavinoky said.

'Estella's attitude towards this whole thing is awesome. She's more than accepting. She's embracing the personal opportunities that have come from this.'

She was charged with DUI, hit-and-run driving, battery on a cop, and resisting arrest, and faces up to six months in jail on four misdemeanour charges that also include battery on a police officer and resisting an officer.

Estella has starred in modelling campaigns in Sports Illustrated, Vogue, Vanity Fair and Maxim.
