Miradouro do Cervo (Vila Nova de Cerveira), Portugal
Photo: Igi Kl
This is Vila Nova de Cerveira's most well-known viewpoint, located next to the sculpture of the Deer, a popular iron work by sculptor José Rodrigues. Located on a hill called Alto do Crasto, it is a tribute to the symbol of the village where deer used to abound in the past. Despite being located only 300 meters in altitude, it amazes by the extreme beauty and grandeur of its view. From here one can glimpse most of the Minho River, from its passage through Valença to its mouth in Caminha. On the other side you can see the council of Tomiño, already in Galicia. On this side you can see part of the council of Vila Nova de Cerveira, as well as the Serra da Arga and the Serra de Góis.
