The BBC has confirmed a new Nigella Lawson Christmas special, which will see the TV cook head to Amsterdam for the festive season.
Nigella’s Amsterdam Christmas Special is set to air on BBC One and iPlayer, and will follow the presenter as she visits Christmas fairs, artisan food shops and some of her favourite spots in the Netherlands capital.
There, she will pick up ingredients for festive food, with recipes influenced by the Dutch and Indonesian cultures of the city.

Nigella has been visiting Amsterdam for many decades, with the special telling "the story of her love for this beautiful city at Christmastime" and "conveying the particular beauty of the lights glittering over the canals, the bustle of festivity and the exquisite, enchanting atmosphere of the 'Venice of the North'".
"Shot in both London and Amsterdam, this festive special will deliver all the much-loved charismatic and enchanting elements that the viewers have come to expect from Nigella, along with her unique storytelling and high-reward accessible recipes, as she takes us on a very personal journey through Amsterdam this Christmas," the synopsis adds.

Nigella said: “There is nothing better than being able to share enthusiasm and joy, and I look forward to showing viewers the unique magic of Amsterdam at Christmas and unveiling new recipes that, while drawn from the history, culture and ingredients of this breathtakingly beautiful city, give ideas for fabulous, fuss-free feasting here at home!”
