Givenchy has launched Coeur Fou, the latest addition to La Collection Particulière, announcing it as an embodiment of wild passion as it roams through the Art Gallery of the Hôtel Particulier.

Inspired by the eclectic personalities that frequented Hubert de Givenchy's Parisian Hôtel Particulier, each fragrance in the collection embodies unique and powerful temperaments, from the daring Téméraire to the dazzling Trouble-Fête and the fiery Enflammé. Crafted with fine materials, these fragrances want to express Givenchy's savoir-faire.

With its impulsive and instinctive energy, and its floral fruity and aromatic notes, Coeur Fou extends a spontaneous invitation to follow one's heart.

At the heart of this creation lies the Damascena rose, expressed in three exceptional qualities: essence, infusion, and absolute. Infused with an absolute of blackcurrant buds from France and the essence of grand vert basil, this floral note exudes a burst of exhilarating freshness. Its dynamic trail is prolonged by the warm and delectable tones of woody moss and patchouli, imparting depth and texture to the composition.

That line is so sickly expensive. I have not tried any of it in all this years. I don't know, just exhausted of the abusive prices everywhere.

I'll have to smell to make a judgement but a fresh fruity rose doesn't sound promising.

Is blackcurrant/rose in the top notes becoming this season's answer to oud ? I hope so, because I like this combination. However, as I already have about four fragrances like this, I am not interested in another.
