If you were someone who grew up in the early 2000s, then you likely saw Chad Michael Murray in projects like A Cinderella Story and a six-season run on One Tree Hill. Well, it's now 2023 and the former teen heartthrob is back on our screens as the elusive Cal Jones in the new series Sullivan's Crossing. His character brings an air of mystery to the idyllic town of the same name, along with the intrigue of a new romance. But unlike his current character, he's been happily in love and married for eight years!
Like most Hollywood love stories, Chad and actress Sarah Roemer's romance started out on-screen. The duo first met while working on the TV show Chosen, when he joined the second season in 2013. They immediately hit it off, and they also immediately chose to keep their private life away from the cameras.
"I'm a romantic. I'm a family guy. I want that core," he shared with E! News about his relationship. "I tend to keep everything quiet. I love my life. That's the part that I keep for myself."
As Chad and Sarah's love continued to blossom, the couple hit two huge milestones in January 2015. They not only had gotten married, but they also announced they were expecting their first child together. They later welcomed their son in May of that year, with two daughters joining the family in 2017 and then 2023.
Just recently, Chad went on Instagram to publicly declare how much he loved having Sarah as his partner in life.

Despite Chad and Sarah choosing to stay pretty quiet about their personal lives, they do keep fans swooning with their personal dedications toward one another on social media. As the couple celebrated almost 10 years of marriage in September, Sarah went on Instagram to upload a sentimental moment of the two cuddling in bed, courtesy of their oldest child.
"Happy 9th Anniversary favorite human," she affectionately captioned the photo. "I love growing, learning, juggling, & loving in this beautiful life with you. I’m so happy we get to do it together. 💕 Our son took this photo (on his own!) while we were on one of our cross-country trips. ☺️. Happy Anniversary @chadmichaelmurray."
