FONDEGAL-CURTORIM: Fondegal lifted the St Alex festival 7 a-side inter-ward football cup after defeating Unjirim 2-0 organised by St Alex Parish Youth Association, at St Alex church ground, Curtorim, on Sunday.

Fondegal tried to score in first session but brilliant goalkeeping by the Unjirim keeper Alister Costa denied Mario Mascarenhas and Alliward Mascarenhas of Fondegal.

In second half, Fondegal scored two goals through Alliward Mascarenhas to make it 2-0 in the 47th and 50th minutes.

Liston Colaco (FC Goa player) was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of Fr Jackie Albuquerque, Asst Parish of Curtorim church, youth members and other dignitaries.
