While growing up in Fairmount, James Dean was raised by his aunt and uncle, Ortense and Marcus Winslow. Marcus died in 1976. Here, during ceremonies memorializing the 25th anniversary of his death, Ortense, 79, quietly sits in a classroom at the old Fairmount High School that Dean attended as a youth.
