At a special press conference at the national club of BTA in Sofia, CSKA's management, the executive director of Sports Properties Bulgarian Army, and designers from the architectural and engineering company IPA presented the project and concept for the reconstruction of the Bulgarian Army Stadium to the media. At the time of the event, Filip Filipov, CEO of CSKA, Danail Dimov, CEO of Sports Properties Bulgarian Army, and representatives of IPA - the architectural studio responsible for the project, emphasized the technical parameters of the future sports facility, the financing of the project, as well as the benefits for the general public from its realization.

Personally, I am very impressed and excited about CSKA's newly renovated home. My personal dream, the dream of many CSKA fans, is finally becoming a reality thanks to the IPA team's capacity and quality of work. Our stadium will be impressive, allowing fans to cheer on their favorite team. In my opinion, this will be the most modern stadium in the country," said Filip Filipov, CEO of CSKA.

"We are proud to work on this project. The project is one of the few without conceptual limits, so we are unable to fully expand our imagination and invest maximally in new technologies and creative ideas, while still respecting all CSKA partners' normative requirements. The overall direction during the design process, both for us and CSKA management, was to create a new home for team fans. This was to make them feel as good as possible", shared architect Tsvetan Petrov, manager of architectural and engineering company IPA.

The reconstructed sports facility, which will be the first home of the favorite team for many Bulgarians, will meet all UEFA requirements for such a facility. One of the project's goals is for the stadium to meet the criteria for a Class IV stadium of the Union of European Football Associations. This will allow it to host football matches at major tournaments.

The reconstruction of the facility envisages a modern vision, respecting the surrounding park environment. Innovative and energy-saving materials and systems will be used, and the construction will be a combination of monolithic construction for sector "A", prefabricated elements for the rest of the sectors, and a metal canopy. It is envisaged that an improved movement organization will be introduced, which will ease the pedestrian approach to the Borisova Garden. Furthermore, the "red" club concept will significantly improve the overall experience and socialization of the team's fans and other visitors before, during, and after sporting events.

The stadium will get a modern facade cladding with an organic form, made of metal matte aluminum lamellas in earthy, natural colors. The renovated facade will improve the facility's visual perception, as well as its acoustics. This includes limiting sound spread outside.

All seats in the upgraded stands will meet the highest UEFA requirements for viewing angle.

The project envisages a complete stadium covered with a visor, made of materials that ensure optimal natural sunlight on the field.

After the realization of the investment, the Bulgarian Army will have a completely renewed high-tech lighting, sound system, a number of video screens, as well as an innovative heating system on the field, built with the help of technology, which allows the swords to be carried out without any problems throughout the year, regardless of the weather conditions.

The project also envisages such a part of the currently segregated (fenced) grounds in front of the stadium to be "opened" for wide public use by visitors to Borisova Gradina and to be connected to the territory of the park, as a functional playground will be created in place of the existing playgrounds, a sustainable and aesthetically maintained park environment with an area of about 20,000 square meters, accessible to all users, including the disabled.

The management of CSKA, Sports Properties Bulgarian Army and IPA believe that the reconstruction of Bulgarian Army will benefit not only the club's fans and football fans but will also create a better park environment and better conditions for recreation for the general public.

The project is an additional stimulus for improving the overall sports infrastructure in the country to develop sports. It is also an additional stimulus for increasing tourist flow to the capital.
