Red Historical Assemblage

This assemblage presents three-dimensional and two-dimensional compositions consisting of preformed natural and manufactured materials, objects, and fragments. In 1961, the “The Art of Assemblage” exhibition at New York’s Museum of Modern Art showcased the work of early 20th-century artists. This is one of the largest pieces the artist has executed and is modeled on the work of commercial illustrator, Fred Otnes. It takes the eye for a walk into history by combining antique objects with photographs of famous people and hand-crafted wooded stars.

Brown Historical Assemblage

Like its predecessor, ‘Red Historical Assemblage,’ this piece takes the eye for a walk into history. It combines antique pieces of a wooden spoon, toy blocks, political campaign pins and a candy tin, chattering teeth and a medal, along with photographs of famous people, song birds mounted on cutouts and hand-crafted wooded stars
