Ever since Elon Musk purchased the Twitter platform and transformed it to X, literally anybody can create an account and pay for the little blue check. Before this was possible, those checks were a meaningful parameter to see if the information was reliable or not. Impersonators saw this as a perfect opportunity to create chaos online, one of which is a fake John F. Kennedy. You know, the United States president who was assassinated in 1963? That John F. Kennedy. Since joining in August of this year, the account @JFK_2024 has been pushing some of the most famous conspiracy theories about the former president's assassination. But the most repeated is perhaps the one that claims his body double was killed instead of him. Many of the images he used were clearly created with AI.

Has Elon Musk responded to this JFK impersonator?

When Elon Musk spoke about impersonators on his platform, he clearly stated all accounts that didn't specifically mention they are a parody account would be banned from the site. On November 9, X did pit hte account under review and removed the blue check from it. However, the @JFK_2024 account's check is back and is still puching these conspiracy theories. The most famous one is the following tweet: "60 years ago today, I was transported into hiding because someone wanted me dead. I'm grateful for all of you that try to figure out who killed my stunt double." Elon Musk hasn't responded to any of these wild claims.

Amongst the other claims this account made are the alleged imminent return of John F. Kennedy Jr., the fact that the former president has been hiding in plain sight all this time. But the tweets just got creepier by the minute when the account was under review. This JFK impersonator (who seems to be a highly skilled hacker) mentioned personal info about an alleged FBI agent who was trying to hack the account. Four days after that, the X account was back online with the blue check and everything. We get John F. Kennedy being alive is impossible because he would be 106 years old right now. But Elon Musk platform's double standars for parody accounts, especially ones that create false narratives shouldn't go unnoticed.
