Burberry introduces its Spring/Summer 2022 childrenswear campaign. The images capture a playful and mischievous approach by reimagining traditional carnival mirrors – symbols that inspire the freedom of imagination, perception and exploration. The collection reflects the campaign themes through a fresh and vibrant spin on Burberry hallmarks such as the check pattern, trench coat and iconic motifs.

For girls, the new chequerboard print provides a textural play on the Vintage check that is jacquard-woven on hooded jackets that reverse to classic archive beige check, alongside matching zip-front dresses, shorts, and sneakers. Outerwear includes heritage-inspired trench coats in English-woven cotton gabardine. A deer graphic adorns T-shirts – a nod to the Burberry animal kingdom.

The Burberry logo features on essentials for boys, including the Horseferry print on T-shirts, appliquéd onto shorts and hooded jackets with striped piping. The iconic beige trench coat is reworked and invigorated with acid yellow side panels, check undercollar and a contrasting black belt.

For babies and early years, a cosy puffer suit with coordinated mittens and booties are animated with the Icon stripe.

Accessories include a scaled-down version of the Arthur sneakers in technical knitted nylon with a rubber overshoe, refreshed in seasonal colourways. Warm coral melds to the pink tones of the girls’ collection, while the boys’ version mixes an acid yellow upper, amber sole and bright blue laces. Sandals are detailed with check-print inner soles, from continuity styles in midnight blue leather to a new statement silhouette with crossover leather straps and a chunky zig-zag sole. Sunglasses feature a teddy bear silhouette available in seasonal colours and the signature check.
