Swallowtails shawl features bold chevron stripes and slip stitch pattern to symbolize Swallowtail butterflies.

Swallowtail Shawl it is knit side to side. Instructions are given for two different sizes, but this construction is very customizable.

Great for intermediate knitter.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
size small: wingspan – 81”/206 cm, center depth – 37”/94 cm; size large: wingspan – 89”/226 cm, Center depth – 46”/116 cm

MATERIALS:
Yarn: size small: color A 800 yds and color B 350yds of fingering weight yarn.
Sample is knit with 3 different fading colors of blue and one skein light grey. Due to the symmetrical nature of the shawl, half all the skeins, using one half for each end of the shawl.

Size large: color A 1300 yds and color B 625 yds.
Sample is knit with multitude color red and white mini skeins of fingering weight yarn.
