Description

Do you ever find it difficult for your students to respond to other students' comments during discussions?? Well, that is exactly why I created these BOUNCE CARDS! We use something like this in our staff development meetings so I wanted to make them kid friendly and target an area that needs improvement.

We use these cards during our Literature Circles so they would be great during those, guided reading groups/book clubs, and small groups. The options are endless!! During book discussions, I challenge my students to see how long they can keep BOUNCING off of each other! This helps them practice their listening skills as well as thinking deeper about the text. I wanted to boost their confidence in their answers and to really emphasize backing their opinions and responses with text evidence.

The ultimate goal is to have these deep discussions without having to use the bounce cards. I'm already seeing this in one of my groups which is SOOOO exciting!!

In this set, you will find:
3 different sets in PDF form including different border and size options
-First set, the content of the cards is more direction based on how they can respond.
-Second set, the content of the cards is sentence starters to help guide their responses.
-Third set, the bounce cards are BLANK for you to be able to write on them exactly what you need.

1 EDITABLE set in PowerPoint including different border and size options
-This set includes the blank bounce cards so you can "Insert text box" where you want to add your text.

I hope these Bounce Cards really get your students BOUNCING and talking about the texts like an Oprah Book Club!!! :)
