The management and staff of St Thomas Higher Secondary School at Aldona felicitated their student Geuel D'souza who won laurels for Goa by being a crucial part of the winning team of Tier II at the Junior National Football Championship held in Rajasthan.
Geuel D’Souza is a student of class XI Commerce A.
She proved her prowess as a defender when she left no stone unturned to neutralise the rival team's effort to score against Goa in the finals held at Royal FC stadium in Jaipur.
When asked about her experience, she said, “I played five matches and won all five. Our first three matches were in Jodhpur and the next two in Jaipur.”
The Manager of the Higher Secondary School Rev Fr Jerard Sahayraj congratulated D'Souza and lauded the efforts and sacrifices made by the family, especially her father Cecil D'Souza who was present during the felicitation.
