Miley Cyrus nabbed two Grammys Sunday night but there was one person omitted from her acceptance speeches: her dad and "Hannah Montana" co-star, Billy Ray Cyrus.

Miley Cyrus won her first two Grammy Awards at the Feb. 4 ceremony, more than 15 years after she first started releasing music.

She first took home the award for best pop solo performance for "Flowers," from her eighth album, "Endless Summer Vacation." Later in the evening, she also won record of the year for her hit "Flowers."

Miley Cyrus, who went into the Feb. 4 ceremony with six total nominations, has received eight nods at the Grammy Awards throughout her career. But before 2024, she had never won, alongside Jennifer Lopez, Nicki Minaj and Katy Perry.

While accepting her first award, Miley Cyrus took her win in stride, joking that she was stuck in traffic and thought she'd miss the ceremony.

"I could've missed the award, that's fine, but not Mariah Carey," she said, referring to the award's presenter.

Miley Cyrus noted that she was seated in her "lucky number three" at the ceremony before sharing a story that "sums up this moment."

Her story started with a little boy who desperately wanted a butterfly. His parents gave him a butterfly net, but he still couldn't catch the coveted insect.

"With no luck, he sat down the ground, he finally let go, and he surrendered. And he was OK that he wasn't going to capture this beautiful butterfly," she shared. "And right when he did, is when the butterfly came and landed right on the tip of the nose."

"This song, 'Flowers,' is my butterfly," she said in closing before proudly holding up the golden statuette.

In her second speech following her win for record of the year, she danced with fellow nominee, Billie Ellish, on her way to the stage to accept her award.

"This award is amazing but I really hope it doesn't change anything because my life was beautiful yesterday," she began her speech. "Not everyone in the world will get a Grammy but everyone in this world is spectacular so please don't think that this is important."

She went on to thank her collaborators and team as well as her "main gays because look how good I look!"

Miley Cyrus also thanked her mother, Tish, her sister, and boyfriend but notably left out her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, from her speech.

"All the people that we love. I don't think I've forgotten anyone," she concluded. "But I might have forgotten underwear. Bye!"

(She'd later follow up with an Instagram post noting she did have underwear on: "PS I was only kidding…. I had on matching custom @gucci panties.")

But fans were mostly concerned with the "Flowers" singer leaving her dad out of her speech.

"just realised this was billy ray shade .." @wtfdolk posted alongside a video of the speech.

Fans have speculated that the alleged family rift stems from Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus calling it quits and filing for divorce back in April 2022. Both have since remarried: Tish Cyrus (now Cyrus-Purcell) tied the knot with Dominic Purcell in April 2023 and Billy Ray Cyrus wed Australian singer Firerose in October 2023.

On Feb. 5, the day after the Grammys, Miley Cyrus posted on Instagram thanking fans and members of her family, but her father was still not among those listed.

"To my mommy @tishcyruspurcell I love you more than anything in the entire universe, my family, @brandicyrus thank you for being there like always, my godmother @dollyparton — I felt your fairy dust everywhere ( I put a little extra in my hair , could you tell?!)," the caption read in part.

At the Grammys, Miley Cyrus walked the red carpet in a different outfit than she wore to accept her awards —  a sheer bronze getup that brought out the gold tones in her voluminous hair.

Fans connected her hair to her godmother Dolly Parton, and the custom gold, netted Maison Margiela to Jane Fonda in “Barbarella.”
