As part of her exhilarating awards season run for the mind-bending drama Everything, Everywhere All At Once, Michelle Yeoh has embraced unexpected, surrealist red carpet attire—often by Schiaparelli. At tonight’s SAG Awards, the celebrated actor continued her impressive streak of wearing couture fit for a Salvador Dalí painting. The star wore a black strapless gown embellished with a prominent strip of gold sequin fringe down the front. The look was featured in the house’s spring 2023 couture show, which took place only last month and was inspired by Dante’s Inferno. Compared to the hyper-realistic lion head that also appeared in the show, Yeoh’s dress is downright minimalist. Still, it commanded attention at the SAGs.

Yeoh, who is nominated for Best Actress at the ceremony, kept her accessories timeless to complement the bold look. She wore a ring and chandelier earrings by Moussaieff, a slicked back ponytail, and understated black pumps. One unexpected addition: a sizable black diamond watch, an accessory more commonly associated with formal menswear.

Tonight’s look is just one of many great Schiaparelli moments for Yeoh as of late. The star has chosen several of Daniel Roseberry’s creations for public appearances and editorial shoots—a particular standout was the winding sculptural skirt Yeoh wore to the Palm Springs Festival. Each look feels like a universe we’d love to jump to.

With the Academy Awards just around the corner—where Yeoh is a strong contender for “Best Actress”—we’re excited to see where Yeoh transports us to next.
