Akureyri is arguably one of the most beautiful towns in Iceland and truly a must visit! Whether it be the botanical garden, art museum, the geothermal swimming pool or a stroll down the shopping street, it is certain that you'll find something fun to do. The landscape of the fjord and the nearby areas are absolutely breathtaking and certainly cannot be missed, along with the summer sunsets and magical winter sunrises!

How to get around?

Although Akureyri is the second biggest municipal in Iceland, it is relatively small, and therefore quite accessible by foot. You can park your car at any of the conveniently located car parks in town or get around by bus - buses in Akureyri are free of charge!


CAR PARKING
Parking next to both of our offices is Free of charge for our Customers. Parking in front of HOF (Big round building) is free of charge 24/7 but unavailable to stay over night for Campers and Trailors.

AKUREYRI CITY BUS
The bus schedule ranges from approx. 06:30-22:30, daily in summer, but winter schedule varies depending on the month. On busy days it is also possible to jump on board HOP ON BUS!
