Sony Xperia 10 VI retains the 21:9 display and gets SD 6 Gen 1 chipset

The Xperia 1 VI may have ditched its 21:9 display, but the Xperia 10 VI is here to continue the trend of tall and narrow Sony phones. The latest Sony midranger brings a few key changes compared to its predecessor including a more capable Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset and 8GB RAM but it loses out on the dedicated telephoto cam.

Xperia 10 VI features a 6.1-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution and 60 Hz refresh rate. You still get Gorilla Glass Victus protection on the front, an 8MP front-facing cam and Sony claims the speakers are now louder and offer improved clarity. Xperia 10 VI features a plastic frame and back made from 50% recycled materials.

We already mentioned that the Xperia 10 VI lost the dedicated 2x telephoto module from its predecessor but its 48MP main cam with OIS should make up for the loss. It offers a 2x in-sensor zoom and covers up to 52mm focal range while gathering more light than the outgoing telephoto cam. You also get 4K video recording at up to 30fps. The other cam on the back is a 16 mm equivalent 8MP ultrawide module.
