A traditional sweet served during Christmas is the Portuguese version of French Toast. My mom simply called these Fatias, but they are have many other names such as Fatias Douradas, Fatias Paridas, Rabanadas and others ….. Leave it to the Portuguese to come up with so many different names for the same thing.
The Fatias Paridas are a sort of deep fried french toast, its a very traditional Christmas sweet in Portugal.
