January 2, 2024I am used to Birkenstocks and typical wear an EU 40. I ordered these from another seller in a 40 and they were too small. It all worked out because it turns out this color is much prettier anyway. I thought they were simply a soft, smoky gray. But they actually have some Robin's Egg blue flecks in the wool and I'm so glad I went with this color over the charcoal.
If you need strong arch support these aren't for you. I have no arch but terrible feet and neet lots of support. I've been wearing these almost non-stop for over a month and the low, fairly firm arch is starting to wear out. I have custom insoles so I'll probably replace them soon because I'm starting to get shin splints.
Overall I like them, they're a nice, lightweight slipper with a solid sole. I am replacing a pair of LL Bean slippers, which were much bulkier and looked sloppy. I couldn't pull them off as shoes when I'd accidentally leave the house in them. Even though these are starting to stretch out a bit they still have a more sleek look.
Very Comfortable

December 7, 2023I have worn boiled wool slippers around the house for the last 30 years. For years I wore Haflingers, but their quality started failing and the slippers never lasted a full year. I then switched to Giesswein, which were good quality but did not fit as well. This year, when Taos had a big sale, I decided to give their slippers a try. I’ve had them a month now and wear them constantly. They are extremely comfortable, stay on my feet, and the synthetic soles are great when I need to let the dog outside - even when there’s an inch of snow on the ground.
The reviews all commented that they run a bit long. I typically wear an 8N, so I ordered size 7-7.5.They fit perfectly.
Pleased, Yet So Disappointed

December 20, 2023I REALLY wanted to absolutely adore these slippers! When you first put them on, they feel so soft and warm. Maybe I was expecting too much, but after having them on for a few hours (just sitting at my desk), my feet get sweaty, then cold and clammy and I have to switch to a different pair. I am SO DISAPPOINTED! I’m just glad I didn’t pay full price! But even at $80, I am still quite disappointed. Like I said, maybe I was expecting too much. Also, maybe I missed something, but I’m seeing ZERO information on what is the correct way to clean at least the footbed! I know they are wool (boiled wool?), so I wouldn’t think you would WASH them, so HOW DO YOU CLEAN THEM??? Do I send them to be dry-cleaned? Who knows.
Love these

March 26, 2024I love My Sweet Wool clogs! This was my first purchase from Täōs, so I bought a sale item to see if I would like the product line. They are wonderful. However, I wish I could have exchanged them for a smaller size. I used the size chart and read the reviews, but they seem to run large. I normally wear a size 7 1/2 - 8 so I bought the U.S. size 8 (39EU). My logic was that a size 8 would be more appropriate since I wanted to wear heavy socks with them. They are still huge on my feet. Now I am afraid if the wool stretches, I won't be able to wear them even with thick socks. In that case, I guess a good friend with larger feet will benefit from my mistake. In the future, I will order a 38 EU and hope for the best.
