Gilat Satellite Networks to Provide Cellular Backhaul for Internet Program in Mexico

Gilat Satellite Networks was awarded millions of dollars in orders for a cellular backhaul project in Mexico. The new orders are part of CFE Telecomunicaciones “Internet for All” program, a national development plan in Mexico.

Global satellite and hub operators are working with Gilat, to use Gilat’s cellular backhaul solution to connect hundreds of 4G sites. Gilat said that its technology and local presence have helped address special requirements for the deplolyment.

A number of satellite ground tech companies have received deals to provide backhaul via satellite for Mexico’s Internet for All program, including Axess Networks and Hughes Network Systems.
