Fort Aguada was built on 1612 (17th century) by Portuguese at Goa in India and the Fort Aguada Lighthouse (four-storey Portuguese lighthouse) was built on 1864 (oldest in Asia). Fort Aguada was the most prized and crucial fort of Portuguese built on the mouth of river Mandovi, it was strategically located and was the chief defense of Portuguese on their Historical rule in Ancient India.
